The High Voltage Sales Engineer will be responsible for supporting and advancing the clients business objectives with respect to executing a strategy to grow market share for High Voltage Underground Cables, Accessories, and Installation services. This individual will be responsible for building relationships in their territory to drive profitable sales growth in support of Business initiatives. While working directly for the Regional VP of Sales this individual will be responsible for managing territory P&L, working closely with utility sales force and agents to advance the business objectives identified within the multi-year strategic plan.
Bachelors Degree, preferably engineering related with proven technical aptitude
5 + years relevant utility industry work experience preferably with sales of either HV cable or HV accessories systems in complex technical projects. MBA with foregoing is a plus
Must be very organized, self-motivated with excellent communication skills, both written and oral required
Requires strong financial understanding with P/L project management related experience and analytical skills to work through complex issues in all areas of the business
Ability to effectively work with the people in the HV Group, manufacturing, subcontractors, and Customers.
Requires up to 60% travel either independently or with agent sales force throughout U.S for customer development, including mandated pre-bid and/or pre-construction meetings, subcontractor search and interview and project work reviews.
Requires a team player attitude continuously articulated in a well thought out vision and communicated effectively, holding his / her team accountable for attainment of realistically set goals.
