Job Summary

We are looking for Lead QA Analyst to support the project team throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) with a variety of activities including requirements analysis and quality assurance. This position will be the primary point of contact for facilitating requirement gathering sessions and testing activities related to the project.

Job Description

We are looking for Lead QA Analyst to support the project team throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) with a variety of activities including requirements analysis and quality assurance. This position will be the primary point of contact for facilitating requirement gathering sessions and testing activities related to the project. This position will be full time and remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop functional specifications for the developers utilizing user requirements, wireframes, and data models

  • Review use cases, functional specifications and wireframes and provide feedback to improve usability, consistency, and maintainability

  • Work with the project leader to create and maintain project-specific QA (Quality Assurance) processes to ensure control quality and provide consistency in the products that are created

  • Schedule and coordinate all testing activities including system, user acceptance, performance, and production verification. 

  • Provide support to end users either during acceptance testing or after production go-live

  • Create and execute manual test cases and scenarios

  • Support the creation and execution of automated test scripts for functional and performance testing

  • Track and report test results

  • Track defects and defect remediation using Azure Dev Ops

  • Escalate issues when appropriate

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar IT (Information Technology) role(s)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in back end. Experience with SQL Server preferred 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working directly with end users

  • Comfortable facilitating meetings 

  • Exposure to a variety of formats for capturing user requirements and processes (ex: use cases, user stories, functional specifications) is a plus 

  • Experience creating, reviewing, and executing testing plans and manual test scripts

  • Experience tracking defects in team collaboration software like Azure Dev Ops

  • Exposure to automated testing tools (unit, regression, and/or stress/performance) is a plus 

  • Experience using cross-browser testing tools like Browser Stack is a plus to modernized applications

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitors
