Manufacturing Engineer Electrical/Software

Manage New Product Introduction transitions through design and into production

Support production efforts at global Distribution Centers, Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers

Drive continuous improvement and standardization efforts to improve yields and reduce costs

Responsible for approving and overseeing the design of manufacturing processes and hardware for new product introductions

Creation of software, firmware, and other electro-mechanical systems to facilitate the efficient production of products

Printed circuit board design for use in production test fixtures

Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to develop and document fixture design.

Participate in Value Add, Value Engineering (VA/VE) activities and cost reduction efforts for all Printer products and processes.

SUMMARY:

An employer is looking for a Manufacturing Software Engineer who will join a team full time in Eden Prairie, MN. The Software Engineer will work to develop and deploy software applications for their newest project Inkjet. This Software Engineer will spend 70% of their day working hands on to design models, and 30% of their day coding utilizing C# programming in Windows applications. The day to day of this role will consist of designing and developing electronics and software for functional test fixtures used in a production environment. This team is in need of a collaborative and upbeat individual!

Experience with offshore contract manufacturers is preferred

Experience working with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies is preferred

Knowledge of various development process including SAFe
3+ years recent Electronic Design and Programming Experience in a production environment desired

3-5 years of experience using C/C++/C#

3+ years of experience Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle

Skills using programming chips, flash memory, and RFID tags

Strong experience using Visual Studio or Atmel Studio

Understanding of online tracking tools such as JIRA, Helix ALM

Experience with network topologies and cloud architecture (AWS or Azure)

Working with USB and/or Ethernet connected devices beneficial

Experience in implementing/analyzing SPC controls

Experience working with Lean Manufacturing tools
