Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Project Manager.

NYU Langone Health is the Coordinating site for a major NIH grant to study Post-Acute Sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 Infection (PASC) or Long COVID. This 4 year initiative aims to answer key research questions needed to advance the scientific communitys understanding of Long COVID and discover effective therapeutics to address it. The Research Project Manager position is part of the Clinical Science Core (CSC) whose purpose is to coordinate the development and implementation of master protocols; to provide expertise in clinical protocol design, implementation; and execution of large clinical research studies for the PASC grant. This is an interdepartmental effort that spans the Office of Science and Research, Department of Medicine, Department of Population Health and Medical Center IT. Reporting to the VP, Science Strategy, the Research Project Manager takes lead responsibility for inframing issues related to research strategy and performance and in developing analytic and other approaches to addressing them

Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial planning for the research mission, including multi-year financial plan and routine grant forecasting
  • NIH performance assessment and opportunity analysis, including goal setting and progress assessment as well as development of tools and mechanisms that support faculty and programs in developing and submitting successful grants
  • Research faculty planning, including development of recruitment plans and assessment of recruit contributions, as well as profiling and benchmarking of faculty research performance
  • Support development and roll out of research related performance metrics
  • Provide support for other strategic and operational initiatives as needed

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:

Recovery Cohorts/Sites/oversee protocol development and implementation activities across the PASC, which will ensure timely and efficient completion of milestones and deliverables. The Project managers will also create and disseminate the breakdown work structure for each component of the meta-cohort sites (recovery cohorts, autopsy cohorts, and RWD cohorts) and to establish standard operating procedures with PASC cores (Data Resource Core, Biorepository Core) and Administrative Coordinating Center. Each of these subunits will provide weekly reports to the Leadership Team

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in business,healthcare administration or a related field and at least 5 years experience in academic medicine orrelated area with demonstrated analysis and facilitation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree
