We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer to be the systems expert and managing the Windows environment delivery to completion and ensure hand-off to necessary support teams. You will report to the Vice President of Infrastructure Engineering Delivery.


The Opportunity:


The Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer designs aspects of large-scale projects and engineers, tests, documents, and deploys systems infrastructure solutions. You will manage technical aspects of assigned projects, including planning and resolving issues. You will work independently to provide technical solutions to solve complex challenges for both IT-facing and business-facing customers.


You will also ensure the successful implementation of technology projects by working with Solutions Architecture, Operations, Information Security, and other departments. We are looking for end-to-end ownership to prevent and solve Windows system issues, anticipate, and avoid problems and identify the areas for improvements. You will lead the effort in standardizing processes, streamlining, and making processes simple while providing technical escalation point for production support during normal business and off-hours.


The Day-to-Day:

  • Partner with Infrastructure Architecture to provide expertise on architectural designs and proposed solutions for Windows system environments – both on-premises IT infrastructure and cloud (Azure)
  • Provide documentation, participate in proof-of-concept, oversee deployment, and hand-off services of new technology to the operations team
  • Manage the Infrastructure environment with service-oriented approach and efficient delivery to meet the customer needs, requirements and their service expectations
  • Work with operations to gauge the effectiveness of existing infrastructure systems; develop strategies for improving or further using these systems
  • Manage the efficient daily operations and maintenance of the IT services with best practices, automation and orchestration capabilities and ensure effectiveness of the service
  • Administer and monitor M365 Cloud Environment
  • Implement changes to M365 suites of services
  • Support Exchange Online project planning and activities
  • Email Spam filtering and Email DLP
  • Implement and enforce compliance with email retention policies

Your Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering (Windows focused)
  • Experience analyzing new products and making recommendations for implementation
  • Knowledge of infrastructure systems including Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, DHCP, compute, Windows OS, MS System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), MS System Center Configuration Manager (SSCM), Hypervisor, storage (multiple windows versions)
  • Knowledge of M365 and Azure technologies
  • Exchange Hybrid / Exchange Online
  • Manage several Infrastructure related projects, system enhancements, and deployments
  • Experience migrating to M365 and operating Exchange in hybrid mode
  • Experience with management M365 Office Online and M365 End Point Security tools
  • U.S. candidates must be fully vaccinated as defined by the medical community against COVID-19 and provide proof of such vaccination by date of hire
