*At Securian Financial the internal position title is Info Security Consultant*
We are looking for an experienced developer to join the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineering team within Enterprise Cybersecurity Solutions.
As Securian continues to expand its cybersecurity capabilities, this team member will have a unique opportunity to work on projects across all technologies owned by the IAM Engineering team, including PingFederate, PingID, PingVerify, PingOne Risk, CyberArk, Venafi, and SailPoint IIQ. We are looking specifically for someone with a developer background to join the team to support our infrastructure/config as code development and help us enhance/automate our developer facing processes and capabilities. Immediate project work could include:
Assisting on AWS migrations for our IAM tools (contributing by driving forward our usage of infrastructure and configuration as code)
Developing services or processes to make more of our IAM requests and processes available to other teams by self-service, thereby reducing or eliminating manual touch time on requests such as setting up new PingFederate connections, SSL certificates, CyberArk application connections, etc. This would include contributing to and enhancing our existing PingFed Puppet module and CyberArk Sync repo, and writing developer-facing documentation on DevDocs.
Implementing and expanding our usage of PingVerify for self-service password resets, associate onboarding, and more.
Engineering a new Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platform with a goal of providing a single shared solution for authentication to public facing applications and migrating from a legacy directory to a modern solution such as PingOne.
This role is joining an existing team of Cybersecurity professionals, so previous IAM or security experience is less important to the role, versus someone with a solid development background using a CI/CD pipeline, with a desire to learn IAM tools and help us drive forward our IAM processes and capabilities with a mindset of continuous improvement and automation.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage and configure infrastructure for a suite of enterprise IAM platforms.
Build and manage infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code
Be the voice of the developer on the team, bringing perspective as to how other development teams would best interact with our IAM tools/processes and then executing on these plans, including creating documentation on DevDocs and partnering with other developers to drive adoption and solicit ideas.
Developing services or processes to make more of our IAM requests and processes available to other teams by self-service either through API or managed through code that can be updated via pull request.
Participate in an on-call rotation supporting administration and operation of our IAM platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years experience with application development in a large corporate environment using CI/CD pipelines such as Git, Jenkins, Puppet.
Self-starter excited by the opportunity to dig into the unknown, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive them forward
Excited by the idea of working in a fast paced environment, ability to quickly learn and adapt to working across different systems, and with different programming languages.
Familiarity and ability to work in an Agile / Scrum environment.
Experience configuring, engineering, or supporting Identity and Access Management tools
Cloud configuration and deployment via Infrastructure as Code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation).
Experience with Cloud runtime services (e.g., AWS EC2, ELB, Kinesis, EKS).
**This position will be in a hybrid working arrangement**
