Software Developer I A Software Developer (1) has a solid technical foundation and a strong focus on growing their development skills. Developers at this level can deliver small to medium-sized well-defined tasks, working individually or pairing with others. They have a small amount of experience in a well-defined area.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in product planning activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs.
  • Build cross-browser compatible and highly scalable web applications.
  • Own the elements required to deliver features and results to business stakeholders.
  • Design and develop custom web components, event handlers, timer jobs, workflows, and different levels of group permissions.
  • Follow established procedures for managing a software project, source files, and related files using sound software management skills.
  • Collaborate and work with our close-knit team in an Agile development environment.
  • Write unit tests as a part of software development activities.
  • Thoroughly test software in unit, integration and product testing scenario.
  • Provide project analysis and time estimates to the development team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills and Requirements

  • Fundamental understanding of practical benefits and limitations of two or more of the following web technologies:
    • C#, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, and related modern API design patterns, as well as .NET Core.
  • Experience in developing and implementing web-based solutions using two or more of the following:
    • .Net Core Framework, ASP.Net Web API, React, GraphQL, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience interacting with a cross-disciplined team of associates.
  • Must be proficient in SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members (verbal and written).
  • Relevant experience and/or training in data structures or object-oriented design methodology.
  • Relevant education and/or experience in software design, development, and maintenance, as required for the successful performance of the essential functions of the position.
  • Microsoft .NET Framework programming experience.
  • Embedded software development experience is a plus!
  • Relevant experience and/or training with the use of industry-standard revision control methods.
