SITECH Chesapeake, part of the Alban CAT family and authorized dealer for Trimble Heavy & Civil Construction products and services, is currently accepting applications for Technical Support Specialist.


Performs pre-sale support and training for customers and analyzes the customer’s site to determine the optimal location for Trimble Technology devices. Provides product specifications and demonstrates Trimble Technology for heavy and highway applications at pre-sale meetings between Salesperson and customer. Interprets customer needs based on requirements and designs solutions to merge Trimble technology with local equipment and workflows. Builds relationships with customers and recommends additional products and services to enhance the customer experience. Provides ongoing technical support to resolve customer issues. Applies troubleshooting techniques and determines proper repair procedures on work orders. Keeps up-to-date on software upgrades and informs Sales team of technology enhancements. Assists division to meet sales targets, and participates in sales projects. Collaborates with 3-D model generator to adjust images as needed, and trains 3-D model operators on implementation of models. Drives collection of information that aids in the development and improvement of products and services offerings. Attends trade shows, conferences and other similar marketing events. Works in conjunction with the Sales team to calculate customer quote, and negotiate tender and contract terms.


Minimum of five years progressive survey construction experience. Must have strong mechanical aptitude and skills. Must have experience in construction site grading. Experience with 3D modeling, CAD/AutoCAD and Terramodel preferred. Survey and construction experience using Trimble Site Positioning Systems and Machine Grade Control Systems preferred. Must be able to think quickly to handle customer situations to produce immediate results. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and be willing to travel.
